Cabinetshop.com publishes plain-English guides to custom cabinets, built-ins, and fine woodwork: what things cost, how they're made, and how to tell good work from bad.
What we publish
We write for homeowners, not contractors. A cost guide gives you real ranges per linear foot and shows you what moves them.
An idea gallery gives you dimensions, not just photographs. A comparison gives you a table and a verdict.
Three rules govern all of it, and they're written down in full on our editorial policy page:
- No invented numbers. Every figure is sourced, and every guide ends with a section naming where its numbers came from.
- No lead-selling. We don't collect your project details and sell them to contractors. That's the business model this site is deliberately not built on.
- Corrections stay visible. When we get something wrong we fix it and say so, rather than quietly editing the page.

What's coming
A directory of real shops: direct contact, no lead-selling. Until it exists, the guides are here to help you plan a project and vet a builder yourself.
We don't have "near me" pages, city pages, or craftsman listings yet, because we've no craftsmen to list yet. Publishing them empty would be a promise with nothing behind it.
